This valve is designed for use with washers. Inlet valves on washers are what control the flow of water into your appliance, this valve is used to control the flow of hot water into your washer. If your washer is leaking, if it is only washing in cold water, if it is not filling at all, or if it is filling slowly you will need to check the inlet valves. If you find this inlet valve is clogged, restricted, or damaged in any way you will need to replace it.
