Epitaph for a Lobbyist Mystery Hardcover Book by R.B. Dominic Detective 1974

(Ben Safford #4) Ben Safford, an Ohio Congressman, in Washington, DC

WOMAN LOBBYIST LINKED TO BRIBE
$50,000 to Congressman

The memo was confidential, but someone leaked it to the Washington Post.”

... believe me, that swing vote came expensive. The bastard wouldn't do it for a cent less than fifty thousand dollars. I know that's a big slice out of the slush fund, but I think you'll agree that it's money well spent. Section C would have cost us millions. And don't ask me if I could have gotten someone cheaper. Nobody else was willing to listen.

The first questions were bad enough. “What did $50,000 buy?”.

What is the name of the politician?” But then new questions began appearing. “Why has Shirley Knapp disappeared?” “Is she really a sick woman?'. And finally, “Who read that memo—and decided that the only way to handle it was by murder?”

Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. Some light staining on interior and exterior. A few white marks on front and back cover. Some staining on the back of the dust jacket. Previous owner signed their name in the upper right margin of the first page and a tape stain beneath. A piece of tape on the spine. A solid reading copy. Please see photos for details, and let me know if you have any questions.
