• American Brilliant Period (ABP) Cut Glass
• Oval Bowl, similar in shape to a classic Vegetable Serving Bowl
• Motifs: Cane vesica and arcadian type, strawberry diamonds, hobstars, fans, starbursts
• Crystal; Clear
• Antique c. late 1800's to early 1900's
• Measurements: 11 5/8" by 7" at the rim and 2 3/4" high
• Weight, prepackaged: 2 lbs 9 oz

• Condition: The rim (most notable on the ends) has minor (1/8" being the largest, mostly tiny fleabites) chipping, all within expections and none which effect the shape of the teeth or are easily seen without inspection. The balance of the bowl is free of chips, cracks anmd fleabites, including the exterior cuts which is fantastic. There are no notable marks or scratches from use and storage. The bottom has slight shelf wear as expected. The cuts are intricate, well planned and executed. The glass is crystal clear with amazing clarity, superb resonance and a light green glow under UV light. There are no notable flaws in the glass.

I've not found this exact shape of bowl in any catalogs (the most similar are Hawkes), nor have we encountered a second time. The shape is blown and the glass is of the highest quality. The cuts are expertly applied and cover the entire bowl. It's truely a unique piece.
