Small Japanese Antique, Meiji period, Porcelain Okimono, Netsuke, Nodding Figures of a Monkey Court Figure, blue and brown glazed. These little nodding figures were often used to detect the very first vibrations from an imminent earthquake, and so were used as a warning. Approximate measurement height of each is 2.25".
