The gas mask PMK-1 is designed to protect the respiratory organs, face and eyes of special forces from the effects of poisonous, radioactive, potent toxic substances, bacterial agents, and radioactive dust. The gas mask PMK-1 can be used in all climatic zones in the summer, autumn, winter and spring periods of the year in night and day conditions, at air temperatures from minus 40 ° С to plus 40 ° С and relative humidity up to 98%. In addition, the PMK-1 gas mask provides the ability to receive water in an infected atmosphere. The MB-1-80 mask consists of a body, a shutter, a spectacle assembly with silicate glasses, a valve box, two FPK attachment points, a plug, a capsule-type intercom, and a system for receiving liquid and headgear. The eyeglass unit has trapezoidal curved glasses, providing the ability to work with optical devices. The valve box with two exhalation valves of the fungal type is made of polymer, has a threaded connection for the maintenance of the valves. A rubber shield is located on the saddle of the external valve to prevent clogging and freezing of the exhalation valves. The screen hole is pointing down. The rubber tube of the system for receiving drinking liquid in the idle position is wrapped around the intercom, and the nipple is placed in a holder located under the valve box and molded in one piece about the mask body. The plastic insert is designed to prevent deformation of the mask during storage in warehouses. The FPK attachment nodes are two holes in the buccal areas of the mask. Depending on the convenience of working with a particular specialist with weapons and military equipment, as well as the individual characteristics of a FPC soldier, they are inserted from either side. A plug is inserted into the opposite hole. The filter-absorbing box (supplied) has the shape of a cylinder 7.5 cm high and 11.2 cm in diameter. On the neck of the FPK there is a flange with cutouts and their corresponding protrusions on the cowl. An inhalation valve is installed in the neck of the FPK. During storage, the box is sealed with two plugs. The upper plug is fixed with a cowl. The box is inserted into the left or right hole of the mask. Sealing is provided on the outer surface of the neck, for which the holes in the mask have a slightly smaller diameter than the neck of the FPK, and are thickened. Inside, a fairing is installed on the FPK flange. The fairing is made of polymeric material and is installed inside the mask on the FPK connection unit. The fairing hole is directed towards the valve box, for which there is a protrusion on it, and a corresponding recess on the FPK connection unit. Set by pressing the hand until it clicks. Additionally, a hydrophobic case is supplied with the FPK to protect the FPK from aerosol substances or dust. The cover lattice is designed to prevent the cover from snugly adhering to the inlet at the bottom of the box. The FPK is marked with waterproof mastic on the cylindrical part of the case: the first line is the index of the box E0-1-15-01; the second line is the symbol of the manufacturer, batch number, quarter and the last two digits of the year of manufacture; the third line is the FPK series and number. The FPK with a threaded neck is attached to the MB-1-80 mask using an adapter (included in the kit). The gas mask is equipped with films (NPN) to prevent fogging of the glasses of the eyeglass unit, and is also equipped with insulation cuffs of glasses (NMU) with clamping rubber cords to prevent freezing of the glasses of the eyeglass unit at negative temperatures. The bag has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. It is made of two-layer fabric having fireproof impregnation. Between the layers of fabric laid fiber pads. The bag valve is fastened with a button and two Velcro fasteners. Inside the bag there are two compartments: a large one for a gas mask, a small one for a waterproof bag. On the fabric partition there are two pockets for NPN, gratings with a knitted cover and an inner side pocket for a set of warming lenses. On the back side wall of the bag there is a wide loops for placing the bag on the waist belt (up to 75 mm wide), in this case the shoulder strap and waist belt are removed into the outer pockets located on the side wall.
