Great collectible for milk glass collectors! This is the largest pitcher that was made in the Harvest pattern. Originally these pitchers were made by Colony glass, but when Indiana Glass Company was purchased by Lancaster Colony in 1957, production switched to Indiana, and it was made from an automated mold (while the previous Colony version was hand made). You can see the mold lines on this piece. It was made in milk glass until the late 1960s.

The pitcher is huge! My second photo includes some common items to give a visual perspective for size. (Those items are NOT included in the sale.) The pitcher is 10 3/4 inches tall at the top of the pour spout, 9 inches wide from the handle to the lip of the pour spout and 6 inches wide across the top. The book calls it a 70 ounce pitcher. I measured and it holds 2 quarts (or a half gallon). It weighs 4 pounds and 14.8 ounces.

[I will caution that other collectors have reported that when it's filled with liquid it's almost too heavy to use. When using it be sure to support it from the bottom, rather than hanging all of that weight from the handle.] It is not microwave safe.
