The Peculier Institution History Paperback Book by Kenneth M. Stampp 1956
Stampp’s classic study of American slavery as a deliberately chosen, practical system of controlling and exploiting labor is one of the most important and influential works of American history written in our time. Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. Some white marks on the front and back cover. Some fraying along the cover edges. The spine has some issues (see photo #3). Tearing on right side of front cover. Scraping on front cover. Creasing on front and back cover. Previous owner wrote throughout the book. A solid reading copy.
