Six-Shooter Showdown Western Paperback Book by William Colt MacDonald 1955

Holdup! A masked rider on a gray horse streaked down the main street of Powder Rock-and fell under a deadly spatter of lead, blood spurting in the dust.

The robbery failed, but the prize turned out to be a sack of Mexican pesos, not the seven thousand in gold that Alex Bishop had brought from the bank at Lanceville.

There'd been a clever switch pulled somewhere along the line, and back of it a plot to move in on the great Flying-B ranch.

A pair of roving cowpoke-detectives plunge right into the middle of the mystery. Brain- power comes in handy, but it's gunpower that pays off when ranchmen and rustlers meet and slug it out with flaming forty-fives.
