Ledger/Account Book of E. S. Baker, Bingham, Me
March 13th 1883 to 1886
Baker was town clerk from 1881-85, 188-99.  Book contains much work billed to town for such things of "making list of soldiers", trips to various places, "working up wood", "pasturing cow for one whole season", pork, other food for indigents "team to Skowhegan & expenses of witness in Horse Poisoning case of W. Goodrick"...   Also appears to have operated a store.

Much more interesting than many ledgers as this on details a lot of town business.

Excellent original early family and/or town genealogy, history, antique, collectible heirloom and/or ephemera.
