This is an ORIGINAL VINTAGE, 6 STRAND NECKLACE of SALTWATER CULTURED PEARLS with a STATEMENT DIAMOND CLASP. The necklace was made during the late 1940s and the RETRO STYLE clasp is made from 18K YELLOW GOLD with white gold for the diamond settings.  The clasp is set with a combination of 27 OLD TRANSITIONAL CUT & OLD SINGLE CUT DIAMONDS of H to K color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. 1.47 ctw. The clasp measures 1-5/16” in diameter and it is 11/16” think. The GOLD ROPE work has EXQUISITE DETAIL and it woven into a FLOWER DESIGN. 



This 6 STRAND NECKLACE is strung with CREAMY SALTWATER CULTURED PEARLS that measure 5.95 mm – 7.53 mm.  They are graduated in size with the larger pearls near the clasp. The pearls are of FINE QUALITY with very few blemishes that are not readily apparent and they are PERFECTLY MATCHED. The necklace is PRINCESS LENGTH, measuring 19.75” long and the string looks new. You can wear it twisted or untwisted for different looks.  The total weight is 186.50 grams and the clasp alone weighs 38 grams.
