ولا تجزع لحادثة الليالي...فما لحوادث الدنيا بقاء

وكن رجلاً على الأهوال جلداً...وشيمتُك السماحةُ والوفاء

وإن كثرت عيوبُك في البرايا...وسرّك أن يكون لها غطاء

تستّر بالسخاء فكل عيب...يغطيه، كما قيل، السخاء

ولا تُرِ للأعادي قطّ ذُلاً...فإن شماتة الأعداء بلاء

ولا ترجُ السماحة من بخيل...فما النار للظمآن نار

عن الكاتب : أبو عبد الله محمد بن إدريس الشافعيّ المطَّلِبيّ القرشيّ، فقيه وإمام من أئمة أهل السنة والجماعة، وصاحب المذهب الشافعي في الفقه الإسلامي، ومؤسس علم أصول الفقه، وهو أيضاً إمام في التفسير وعلم الحديث، وقد عمل قاضياً فعُرف بالعدل والذكاء. وإضافةً إلى العلوم الدينية، كان الشافعي فصيحاً شاعراً، ورامياً ماهراً، ورحّالاً مسافراً. أكثرَ العلماءُ من الثناء عليه، حتى قال فيه الإمام أحمد: «كان الشافعي كالشمس للدنيا، وكالعافية للناس»، وقيل أنه هو إمامُ قريش الذي ذكره النبي محمد بقوله: «عالم قريش يملأ الأرض علماً»
