Mini Hobby 1/144 plastic model kit MIG 23 VARIABLE GEOMETRY [SWING WING] INTERCEPTOR. The Russian Mig 23 has been around for many years and has been flown by every Eastern bloc country as well as by every adversary of the Western World for all that time. They are still in service with a few countries and although they are old and not as sophisticated as modern fighters, if there are any around your areas of operation, they are a deadly threat not to be taken lightly and something eventually would need to be done about them.
This kit has a long cockpit canoe with a long canopy as for a two-seater, as compared to the Revell kit shown for an example. It's hard to tell from the nose-on view box art, and the instructions on the back of the box clearly depict a single seat Mig 23 with a short square-back canopy.
So, In my judgement, this kit is a a Mig 23UB.
Crown model kits did a kit YEARS ago and the box art shows a 2 seater, if you look closely, and the painting and markings guide definitely shows it to be a 2 seater, but without any fanfare about a Mig 23UB. Just a "Mig 23 Flogger" But I built it and it's a two seater alright.
It is probably a copy of the Crown kit.
I have built a few Mig 23's by different manufacturers, but to date the obscure Crown kit was the only 2-seater in 1/144 I've seen and built. And it was OLD when I got it 20+ years ago. This Mini Hobby kit may be another one. I haven't built one of these, but that would be my guess.
It would be an unusual addition to your 1/144 scale model collection.
