Italian-made garments, in Tuscany, with quality workmanship, made by Barcas sas. Here a little history:
BARCAS sas - Ladies' packages : The company was founded by Mr. Luciano Cassuto in 1963 with 30 employees. Its headquarters are in Antignano and produces women's clothing. Subsequently, in 1965, M. Baracchino also joined the company and the company moved its offices and production to a modern complex specially built in via di Popogna 501, in the Fonte dell'Amore area.
The factory consists of an enormous hall dominated by a slender and bold roof, designed by the engineer. Vaccai. On the front of the building there are offices, warehouses and warehouses.
With the clothing boom, foreign markets are growing, in particular Libya, Egypt, Arab countries and the French market.
With the arrival of the clothing crisis, BARCAS also found itself in difficulty. The jeans boom arrives.
The company tries to adapt to new fashions and the advent of new stylistic canons. Competition in the sector is becoming fierce and the contraction in exports is very strong.
The employment level went from 330 people at the end of the 1960s (80 workers and 250 girls) to 204 workers in 1982 (49 workers and 155 girls).
On 19.5.1983, in a session of the Citizen Committee for the defense and development of the Livorno economy, among other things, also
the situation of BARCAS which is going through moments of particular difficulty linked not only to production, but also to the financial situation with heavy debts.
We are trying to involve various entities (ERTAG, Fidi Toscana, Monte dei Paschi di Siena), aiming to reduce production costs through the introduction of new
technology and an update of production. Everything will be useless and BARCAS closes its doors.
On 10.15.1985 the "Giulia '85" cooperative was born among the employees of the former BARCAS for the production and processing of clothing items. Unfortunately, this entrepreneurial initiative will also not be successful and will end its existence quickly.
The first model is available in light ocher or purple colour, solid colour, very comfortable, smooth, wide sleeves, without buttons at the cuff, single-breasted, lined, classic/elegant, medium/long length, wraparound collar with the only button of the garment - large and particular button - in fact then the garment wears a cape.
There are two large pockets below the belt, whose loops are already applied; the processing of the fabric is boucle type.
Still available in sizes 44, 46 (only in purple at the moment) and 48 Italian (in both colors, however what is reported in the drop-down menu is authentic).
The fabric is in 75% Virgin Wool, 25% Polyamide, while the lining is in 100% viscose.
The purple garment shown in the photo is size 46.
The second proposal is also a coat/cape always with a single button (at the neck, which can be raised or lowered in a model similar to the garments shown above), with a leather buttonhole, powder-colored or cream-colored garment, smooth and wide sleeves , without buttons at the cuff, single-breasted, lined, classic/elegant, medium/long length, enveloping collar with the only button on the garment - large and particular button - in fact, the garment then wears like a cape.
There are two large pockets below the belt, whose loops are already applied; the processing of the fabric is cloth type.
The garment is embellished with genuine leather inserts, which you can appreciate in the gallery, the fabric is in 100% Pure Virgin Wool and also in this case the lining is in viscose.
Available in sizes 40, 42 and 44 in blush color and in size 42 in cream color.

The cream colored garment could be sent 1 or 2 days late because it will probably be taken to the professional laundry first.
Purely winter garments, usable both as daily garments and for more particular occasions with the necessary different combinations.
The workmanship and finishes are very accurate, it is a strictly Made in Italy garment, Barcas® label for women's packaging, a well-known Italian pret-a-porter label popular between the 60s and 80s.
The high quality of the garment and the refinement of the workmanship are therefore evident.
These are always items from the shop, new and never worn.

Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Article 5 of Legislative Decree 185 of 1999, the customer has the possibility of withdrawing from the contract/order stipulated on the Internet, in compliance with the following conditions.
The right of withdrawal expires:
- For lack of the essential condition of integrity of the property;
- Even partial use of the goods and any consumables;
- The lack of the external packaging and/or the original internal packaging;
- The absence of integral elements of the product (accessories, parts...);
- Damage to the product for reasons other than its transport.
In the cases indicated above, we will return the purchased goods to the sender at his expense.
Customers who purchase with a VAT number and those who purchase personalized goods cannot exercise the right of withdrawal.
In order to exercise this right of withdrawal, within 10 (ten) working days of receiving the ordered products, the customer must send a communication with proof of receipt to the address indicated below.
The Communication must contain:
- The expression of desire to take advantage of the benefit granted by the Legislative Decree. No. 185 of 22 May 1999;
- The indication of the product(s) for which you decide to exercise the right of withdrawal.
To obtain a refund of the fee, the customer must, at his own expense, send the purchased products back to the address that will be communicated to you. Once the above conditions have been verified, the refund will be issued.
