Up for sale is a rare Antique United States Check Punch / Protector / Writer with built-in Oak Case. It is made by Sloan Chace & Co Makers of Newark NJ USA. The patent dates on the machine are may 29, 1888 & Oct 22, 1889. This particular check punch was made on Dec 8, 1891 with a serial number of 3437. It has black metal case with marvelous gold pin stripe and floral decorations. This machine has an "advance" feature where it moves the check one space to the left after the number is punched. Everything work "butter smooth" as it should be. Great addition to your collections. Please note, only money order & cashier's check will be accepted.
