extra care must be excercised during the install of any porcelain fixture to avoid cracking (just like a commode, don't overtighten).
once your porcelain fixture is installed, be confident this fixture will not not melt or compromise due to heat.
with a 660 watt maximum you may confidently use a big high wattage bulb.
i have preferred a big ge cfl, 55 watt, curly bulb that delivers 200 watts equivalent lighting (ge 78965).
