VTG MCM Ungemach Pottery Co UPCO USA Green Ceramic Dish Planter made in Roseville, OH.

It measures 10”x6”x3.75”

It has a chip in the glaze on one of the sides and on the bottom. It also has some dirt on the inside edge.

Clearly marked: UPCO USA 103 -10 (10”), which means that they are made by the Ungemach Pottery Co., of Roseville, Ohio. Ungemach is one of the overlooked pottery companies. Fred Ungemach began the company – at first named South Fork Pottery – in 1937, the same year that the last Cord 810 automobile was made. The design aesthetics were the same, Art Deco streamlined and futuristic. Ungemach (1900-1984), had worked for the Nelson McCoy Pottery as a boy and later for Ransbottom Pottery (RRP Co). Great places to learn both the business and design side of making art pottery. The Ungemach line included garden, decorative, and floral pieces with distinctive appeal.

No cracks.
