Vintage SANTA CLARA BLACKWARE POTTERY VASE POT JAR, Nathan Youngblood, c1978 For your consideration is this sensational handmade and hand polished vintage Santa Clara Blackware pottery vase jar by award winning Santa Clara potter Nathan Youngblood, circa 1978. It was one of his first piece of pottery that he created when he started producing artware. This fabulous blackware pot was hand coiled and hand polished to a high sheen. Measures approximately 5-1/2" tall with 5" diameter. In excellent condition for its age. No cracks, chips or repairs (the white spot on bottom is a piece of tape). Signed, hallmarked and dated on bottom. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. A spectacular piece of Santa Clara pottery by world renown award winning potter Nathan Youngblood. Highly collectible! Nathan Youngblood, born in 1954, is the grandson of Margaret Tafoya, and the son of Mela and Walt Youngblood. Along with his sister, Nancy, he is one of the most sought after potters working today.
