Brand new factory sealed dvd of 'Santo double feature #2' featuring new 2020 English language versions so you don't have to read the film and try to watch it too.

SANTO vs. the RIDERS of TERROR unfolds entirely in the 19th Century, the storyline is essentially a Western with mild horror elements. A half dozen lepers escape confinement to join forces with a gang of outlaws and rob the local townspeople.

Santo (who waits 23 minutes to make his first appearance and enters the square ring only once) is summoned to assist the authorities and concocts a plan to trap the varmints in the act. It fails, but he is able to learn about the secret alliance and develops a new strategy to stop the trouble without killing the diseased fugitives.

Most of the lepers resemble zombies (and shuffle around like the undead, too) but the film successively humanizes their plight and, after all of his encounters with undead fiends in this series, the transplanting of Santo into a frontier scenario is not as outlandish as one would expect.

SANTO in the VENGEANCE of the MUMMY: In this outing, the formidable wrestler dons a safari hat and joins a jungle expedition into the ruins of the Opalche Indians. The colorful group of explorers includes blustery Professor Jiminez, macho Sergio, and an insufferably cute kid, Agapito. While the gang is camped out one night by a fire, the professor shares with them the terrifying story (shown in flashback):

Prince Nonoc, whose love for a virgin sacrifice doomed him to an eternity of mummyhood protected by a sacred scroll.

Of course the trespassers press on anyway and are soon being picked off by the skull faced mummy, armed with a bow and arrow. A goofball twist ending is followed by an insane amount of wrestling footage to close out the film, accompanied all the while by Agapito's gleeful reactions to the antics of heroic Santo.

This set makes a decent introduction to newcomers of the series.
