Winston Churchill was born in 1875.



A Farthing coin struck in the year Winston Churchill was born. We have just ONE of these coins available.



Made from bronze the farthing (one quarter of a penny), was first produced in the 1200's with the last one being issued in 1956. The farthing ceased to be legal tender in 1960.



The coin is in excellent condition, a coin that is 147 years old.



No more farthings will ever be produced so this coin is a true antique.



The Royal Mint has been responsible for striking English coinage since 986AD, almost all of that time based at the Tower of London.



The coin measures 20mm in diameter and weighs just under 3 grams.



The reverse features the Britannia, first used on English coinage in 1672.
