Sugar Snap Pea (Pisum sativum) is the original snap pea, the one that started it all. Developed for commercial food processing, this pea was the result of crossing a snow pea with a thick-shelled English pea. Crisp and tender 2"-3" pods growing on vines that will reach 5'-6' tall. AAS winner in 1979
