FANNIN
By David Markson

(New York): (Unibooks), [1971].

First edition thus, first printing; paperback.

"A Unibook, published under special arrangements by Modern Promotions, a Unisystems Company" statement to the copyright page, and .75c price to the front cover and spine.

Originally published under the title EPITAPH FOR A TRAMP in 1959 as a paperback original by Dell Publishing, with different cover art.

A hard-boiled mystery featuring private detective Fannin looking for the murderer of his ex-wife among the Beat crowd and back-street dives in New York City.

Black marker line across the upper page edges, minute binding pressure line to the upper spine end, barely perceptible rub to the lower front corner tip, minuscule surface scratch to the rear cover, else nearly fine, very tight and probably unread in glossy stiff-card wraps with cover art depicting a NYC high rise skyline behind a suited man grasping a gun and a pretty lady in a black lace undergarment holding a drink and a long cigarette holder bearing its smoking trophy; original .75c price still intact to the front cover and to the spine.

Mass market paperback.
