This is a live Aluminum Plant (the scientific name is Pilea Cadierei).  It is a 2-3 inch plant, shipped in a 2-inch nursery pot with soil.

The Aluminum Plant has oval deep green leaves splashed with metallic silver (hence its name).  It is native to Southeast Asia, and is an easy care tropical houseplant.  It will grow about 12 inches tall and has a spreading habit, so it also makes a good hanging plant. It prefers a partial shade environment, so avoid direct sun on its leaves.  It prefers evenly moist soil, so water as soon as the surface of the soil is dry.
