It was produced by the HOME INTERIORS, Inc. in the 1980s. They were offered in limited numbers to the party hostess and were called HOSTESS GIFTS. Once points were accumulated, this was one of the items offered in the Fall/Winter Hostess collection. The Hostess collection was rarely placed in regular production, so this is TRULY AN UNCOMMON FIND! We do not know their given name, so this figurine we fondly call: "THE SEASON OF GIVING." The sculpture depicts two African American Black children arranging gifts under a decked-out Christmas tree. The detail is very nice in their sculpted hands and gentle sweet facial features. The young boy wears a blue textured turtleneck with off-white trousers and the young girl wears a pink pinafore. We are happy to bring you this sculpture that that is presently RETIRED from production.
