DESCRIPTION
seaside*collectibles is pleased to bring you this early FINE English BONE CHINA teacup & saucer that is very detailed in its designed.

The boldly fluted teacup and fan design of the saucer work flawlessly together. Looking midway down the cup and just above the fluted foot, there is the same raised fan detail in the porcelain that is found all around the saucer. The hand painted floral motif is of a colorful wildflower pansy bouquet. The looped handle adds a regal touch.

These types of teasets have many artistic uses other than just collecting - an artist friend recently sculpted some tiny winged fairies and placed each in a mossy garden setting within a teacup of this type. She sculpted miniature flowers from the teacup's motif and placed them in the fairy garden within the teacup. Delightful.

The entire piece is set off with gold rim trim at the teacup's base, top rim and the saucer's outer rim - the detailing and design of this cup & saucer are truly beautiful!

COLORS: The teacup & saucer is in a ivory white bone china with handpainted details throughout. The principal colors are gold, a deep rose pink & a soft brown for the leaves/foliage.

SIZE: The teacup's mouth has a diameter of about 3 1/2aÂ€Â. The saucer is about 5 1/2" in diameter.

CONDITION: Excellent Antique Vintage Condition. No cracks, loss of detail (rubbing), no porcelain chips, crazing or repairs - detailing is bright. Set needs some restorative cleaning.
