Item description for Vintage Edgar Berebi Earrings Oval Hoops Black Enamel Cut Out Pierced

This is a striking and beautiful pair of vintage Edgar Berebi hoop earrings. They are signed on the back with a copyright symbol on a clear label attached to the back of each earring. They have a post for pierced ears. The earring center is a shiny dark black with a decorative border in shades of pink, red and a turquoise blue green. They measure approximately 1 ¾ inches wide at the widest point and 2 ¼ inches tall. These are most likely from the 1980s to early 1990s when Berebi was making enamel jewelry out of Brooklyn, N.Y. He no longer creates jewelry, but designs decorative items.

These earrings are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is no enamel loss and they have a beautiful shine to them. Any little white dots you see are dust particles from the air on the black, the other marks are reflections due to the shape of the earrings. These classic and elegant earrings would be a stunning accessory with that little black dress or perfect with your favorite pair of jeans.
