Workmanship and shape
The shape of the shoes is different in different parts of Serbia. The most common forms are with or without a "beak". The beak is called the top of the front part, which is easily bent upwards, from where the weaving of the rigging begins. Shoes with a "beak" are also called "spikes". They are usually made of calfskin, but sandals made of pigskin are called "sewing machines".
