Ford radios manufactured by Delco are known for bad button wear.   Don't let a worn out looking radio drag your vehicle down.  Get your replacement faceplate from ReplacementRadios.  If you're in need of a face for the Delco CD6 radio in your 2005/2006 Ford or Mercury vehicle because of worn buttons, you've come to the right place. This is a brand new trimplate with brand new lens and buttons.  

You can use most of these buttons on the CD and CD/Cassette radios.  The presets, seek, text, am-fm and cd buttons are the same, for instance, and those are the ones that usually wear on the other radios.  So simply swap those into your face and you're good to go.  (The eject button is definitely different from the CD radios.  Other buttons not addressed in this paragraph may or may not be the same.)

We sometimes include a 'parts' circuit board behind the face simply to keep everything in place but please understand, if included, it is for parts only and is not guaranteed to be functional.  (Sometimes we use cardboard or other types of retainers to keep the buttons in place.)  You are paying for the face only.  The board, if included, is for button retention only.  Please do not buy this listing if your only need is the board because it is not guaranteed to be included or even to be functional, if it is there. 

This can ONLY be used on Delco manufactured Ford 6CD radios and your vehicle must also be a 2005-2006 with a part number matching one of those below*.  This is NOT compatible with the Visteon or Pioneer manufactured Ford radios.  If your radio has button wear, you probably have a Delco because that was an INCREDIBLY common problem with them.  However, if you want to be sure, pull your radio and make sure it does not say Pioneer or Visteon on any of the stickers.  Another indicator it is a Delco is an 8-digit numeric part number above the Ford number on the part sticker. 

This is NOT the same as the 2007 and newer version, so make sure you're matching your part number and ordering the right thing.


APPLICATIONS

This face was most commonly found on radios from 2005-2006. But there are some exceptions. Here are some radio part numbers we know can use this face. Application appears after the part number but do NOT assume you have the part number shown just because your year and model are listed. Ford used three different radio manufacturers and, even though the radios looked the same from the face, none of the parts are interchangeable. Some vehicles from a given year and model may have the Delco radio while others from that exact same year and model may have the Visteon version. Make sure to match the part number on YOUR radio!!  It is usually OK for the very last letter to differ (GA vs GB, for instance) but it is not safe to assume it will work for you if you have a difference elsewhere in your part number (GA vs HA, for instance) or a part number starting with a different number (5 vs 6, for instance.)  Do yourself a favor and email us BEFORE purchasing if you have questions.
 * Make sure your radio does not have a PIONEER CORPORATION sticker on the side of the case.

** This face does not say SHAKER on it but it can still be used on the Shaker 500 and 1000 radios with the part numbers listed.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Instructions for installation or removal are not included. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this replacement or are not qualified to perform the replacement you should seek an electronics shop that will do it for you or ask us about sending it in for us to do it. We can tell you that you MUST disconnect the negative battery terminal or remove the plugs from the back of the radio and let it sit for at least 60 minutes BEFORE you attempt to do any work on the radio. Failure to do so can result in a short within the radio.  We've had many reports of it from people who ignored this caution.  Don't be one of them!!
