This item is marked Bob St. Clair. It was a commemorative piece as it states on the bottom 1776-1976. There are busts of George Washington, an American Indian and Richard Nixon, according to others who have had a similar piece. I was told it was Spiro Agnew in anticipation of his name being on the ticket running for President after the impeachment of Richard Nixon. Since neither Nixon or Agnew was on the ticket running for the presidency in 1976, due to impeachment of Nixon and resignation of Agnew,  it was felt that it was made in anticipation and maybe a little premature. The background story I got from the person who sold it to me in 1977. I don't know how true it is but it seems plausible. The piece decorated with gold is more rare than the plain glass ones. It is 2 1/2 inches tall. It has always been in my china cupboard since I purchased it.
