How to save a template

I can’t find anywhere how to save a template like the description, shipping, price. On ebay you can save all of them and then just type a title and add your new photo. thanks for the help. I looked under profile and setting nothing. Christin

There is no way to do that here on Bonanza for description.

I cannot help in the way of price and shipping profile but I can help out with the description.

A work around is by acting like you are going to make a listing up.

Here’s [URL removed]

Hover cursor over selling top left on this page. Select Add items from the drop down..
Next go down to your detailed item description window.
Type all your information in there that you’d like to use when starting up a new listing and how you would like for it to appear when the shopper is viewing your listings.

Okay, say you’ve done up your template.
Click on the Source icon at the top of your Detailed item description window.
Now you’ll see your HTML.
Highlight all the HTML and use your keypad to control +c

Save this to notepad and so that you will have this HTML in the future. Notepad will make sure to remove any garbage that was carried over from originally copying the HTML.

Okay, so say you are ready to list an item up for sale.

Add items (make sure to copy your Bonanza template from notepad where you saved it)
Detailed item description window.
Click the source icon at the top of your Detailed item description window.
Use your keypad to do control +v
All your HTML will paste in to your window.
Click source again and there you go.

Just keep your template saved in notepad and also make sure to have the template saved to a cd rom.

I do the same thing with my listings every time I list. You can take a look if you like.

thanks so much but do you have to do this for each listing. Also if you have a websotre can you save a template since it’s your store. I don’t have one yet seems like it would be eaier to copy adn paste the info in each time. Or list it on ebay and the improt it so you don’t have to do any work.

I do not know anything about the Webstore. But yes, for your descriptions in your Bonanza booth you will have to do this every time. It’s really easy though. You get used to it. I know when I moved from eBay it took some getting used to but eventually it will be like second nature.

Once you set up your template and save it to notepad, the only extra step you will have to take when doing up a new listing is to go to notepad where you saved your template and insert it into the new listing.

1. In Your batch editor https://www.bonanza.com/booths/Chraligar/batch_edit, in Items basic select the Duplicate items option, from the list below choose item(s) You would like to use as a listing template and click above on the green Apply changes button.

Then open a duplicated listing to add new photos and make any changes in descriptions, etc.

2. This can be done on Your Add or edit items page as [URL removed] https://www.bonanza.com/booths/Chraligar/edit
From drop down menu (link More) above Your listing’s photo choose Duplicate Listing option…

3. Also, every listing in Your booth, when You edit it, has a blue big Save and duplicate this item – Base your next listing on this one button (scroll down the page).

Last time I checked Bonanza was not allowing duplicate listings anymore. The information would no longer carry over to the new listing. Has this changed again? THX

EmpressDepot says: February 20, 2018

Okay, that’s what I mean. It does not carry over the description part but does carry over everything else.

ArtistsUnion says: February 21, 2018

Maybe there was a temporal glitch at that particular moment You’ve checked? All listings details are carried over during the duplication process (I’ve just check it once more and it works properly).

EmpressDepot says: February 21, 2018

Right, the listing details transfer over but not the item description…the area where sellers verbally describe the listing.

If You don’t see descriptions in Your duplicated items, please, contact B. support, so they can help You to solve it.

I did a long time ago. I was told that Bonanza never meant for the descriptions to be duplicated and that they quit doing it. It does not really matter to me because as above, I deal with notepad.

I see. I’m sorry You don’t have this option, but I’m glad You manage it with a notepad. I’m lucky then that my batch edit duplicates descriptions. Maybe it hasn’t been changed on a little bit older accounts? I’ve noticed You joined in 2017. For example on Et. they allowed older shops to keep…

…to keep a standalone PayPal as a payment method, but all new accounts didn’t have this possibility.

thank you so much. Will take some getting used to
