Does seller fee percentage depend on how they found the item?

I haven’t sold on Bonanza for a few years and started up again recently so I am a bit lost in the new system.

I sold two nearly identical items over the last week, same price etc. just different colors. One I was charged a 3.75% sale fee, the other a 9% sale fee. Does this have to do with how the buyer discovered the item? [URL removed] if they found it through Google Shopping I am charged the higher fee because of advertising costs?

Thanks!

“… if they found it through Google Shopping I am charged the higher fee because of advertising costs?”

Yes, that is exactly right. The fee can reach UP TO 9% due to the Google advertising that you selected. If a shopper finds your item directly through a Bonanza search, then the fee is 3.5%. However, since there is a 50¢ minimum fee, that can be deceptive. For example selling a $7 item results in the minimum fee of 50¢, which turns out to be 7.14% FVF.
