Bonanza sales volume

Hi everyone,

We recently set up our booth on Bonanza and are eager to get started. However, we have read that many people have a difficult time getting their first sale. We are familiar with and do business on eBay, Etsy, Amazon, and Walmart -and we know that every platform has it’s own little tricks to help improve sales (Amazon for example requires a lot of reviews, Etsy requires a lot of listings, etc.)

Can anyone offer us some tips to get that first sale? We sell gift boxes. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi EndlessArtUS. Welcome to Bonanza.

I recommend visiting your Discounts and coupons page by going to the Selling drop down in the upper left corner of your page, click Booth settings, then click Discounts & coupons that is highlighted within a blue bar.

On this page is where you can set some things up in your booth to help entice your shoppers like…

~offering a break on shipping when shoppers purchase more than one listing from your booth
~Publish a coupon sitewide on Bonanza (shoppers will also see this coupon at the top of your listings when visiting)
~Create a coupon especially for one of your customers (these type coupons do not get published as they are exclusive to the person you give them to. You have to tell them about it in order for them to know about it and they will use the coupon code you give them when checking out)

Also go to the same Selling drop down and click on Seller dashboard, then click on Customers on the left side of the page within the column that has a gray background. Here, you can offer a discount to your followers (people that have chosen to click and follow your booth), past customers, etc, and the promo will go out to all of them by email.

Typically almost every customer I have who buys from me will Follow my booth afterward.

I’ve only done two campaigns so far but this is because I always seem to have a published coupon already set up and I do not want both of the discounts to be able to be used at the same time. I will be doing this at the first of the year though because I gained a decent amount of followers since the last time.

Are you set up for your listings to appear in Google shopping? Many of us depend on Google shopping for sales. It’s really important to follow Google shopping’s rules and keep them happy. I took a look at some of your listings and it looks to me like you’ve done a fine job on your traits and attributes, so all should be fine there.

Just make sure you have gone here to have your listings placed in Google [URL removed]

~Selling drop down, next page just look for Add my items to Google shopping and click in the circle for Yes and then Save all of my changes.

Yes, like you said on Etsy with more listings.

Tell them in your listings about other Like item listings that you have available in your booth and tell them in your listings, if you decide to do this, that you offer a combined shipping discount when they purchase more than one listing from you. I have found this helps me out along with offering a published coupon.

Lastly, I recommend to not price listings higher here compared to other places a person sells at. eBay, Amazon, Etsy are more well known…they will go there more than likely before coming here, especially if the price is higher here. If you can, price a little lower here or definitely at the very least stay equal to the price at the other places you sell.
