One of the greatest newspaper action adventure newspaper strips of all times was STEVE CANYON, as created by MILTON CANIFF (who formerly had written and created TERRY AND THE PIRATES).  Steve Canyon is a World War II veteran with the Army Air Force Air Transport Command; and, occasionally in civilian life, operates his own worldwide air transport company, Horizons Unlimited, while also serving in the U. S. Air Force Reserve.  Steve's adventures take him around the world, leading him into two-fisted, hard boiled adventures with an intriguing host of friends and enemies.

Steve's adventures continue with these THREE complete episodes (May 15, 1953 through April 30, 1954), beginning with a secret coded message that draws him once again to Western China and Free Chinese guerrillas still heavily besieged by Communist Chinese; then thwarts a kidnaping and a warlord in another Central Asian country; and finally is assigned to sabotage drug smugglers in Indonesia.  Featured in this episode are DOAGIE HOGAN, PRINCESS SNOWFLOWER, DR. LOUIS SHU, HAPPY EASTER & HAPPY'S HOOLIGANS, HOMER HALL,  GILBERTA HALL,  HOLLY HALL,  COBRA JOHNNY,  HERSELF MULDOON, LOKO, DUKE, BOB and EDITH.
