the PART# ED0008SE Power Pro Advanced. The PART# ED0008SE keeps the classic design of the Model 7700, but in a dark blue case. It also features a charge indicator light, removable cord from the charging base, and an updated battery.

Our new iron features a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery that replaces the NiCd battery. As you may know, cadmium is a toxic metal, and needs to be specially disposed of to avoid leaking toxins into the ground. We decided to switch to a lithium-based battery in order to both be more environmentally friendly, and to stay ahead of possible future environmental regulation. A LiFePO4 battery was chosen specially because of its long-life span (twice the cycles of a Li-Ion battery) and high level of safety.

This kit includes the Power Pro Advanced soldering iron, recharging

stand, LiFePO4 battery, high efficiency fine tip #7545-100,

high efficiency chisel tip #7577-100, instructions, and a one-year

limited warranty.
