Item description for Miniature Picture Frame Brooch Pin Women Funeral Black Dress Mourning

This is a vintage picture frame brooch made of gold tone metal with a reproduction of a painting in the frame. Due to the traditional black garb with the mantillas on the head, it makes me think of a Spanish Funeral procession going into a cemetery. The women are holding their capes under the chins; their faces appear to be painted white. There are two pointed golden trees behind them outside the gate and two other people following in the distance. This is not a hand painted brooch, it is a print that has been coated with a material like resin. It measures approximately 1 ¾ inches by 1 ¼ inches. If anyone recognizes the artist or the painting, please let me know, it would be appreciated so I could add it to this listing.

The brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I did not remove the velvet backing to see what is behind it; I did not want to ruin the brooch. The roll over safety clasp works just fine. Please look at all the photos as they show the details better than I can describe and are considered part of the description.

This would be a nice addition to anyone’s collection of vintage jewelry. This could also be placed in a dollhouse as artwork on the wall. It is a unique piece of wearable art.
