This eye-catching stylized brooch or pin shows a bird catching a fish. It measures approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter. The brooch is not signed and is unmarked as to the origin, but this is most likely from Mexico or Peru; it has the look of pins that were made by Graziella Laffi from South America. It appears to be a copper base with colorful hand painted enamel details, but it could also be some other type of metal with copper enamel on the top. I can't be sure and it has not been tested.
It is in great vintage condition as you can see from the many enlarged photographs. There are some tiny dark spots in the copper that you don't really see without the magnification, but I wanted to point that out to you. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
