One of the premier bandleaders of his time, Larry Clinton was known for “swinging the classics” (the practice of adding texts and light syncopation to previously composed classical works). Here are two SNAPPY fox trots from Victor's "Special Purpose Series" Records, circa late 1940's. This is a disc jockey issue and marked "NOT FOR SALE". Could almost be near-mint status but for a few moderate scuff marks. We conservatively grade at excellent. Clearly, it has been gently handled.

Side 715-A features "You Told A Lie" (I Believed You),  with vocal by the Dipsy Doodlers. Side 715-B plays, "Sicilian Tarentella", an instrumental. Both are performed by the Larry Clinton Orchestra.
