The Handle Cap is an OEM replacement part for Samsung refrigerators. It is an internal bracket that securely mounts and supports the external refrigerator door handle assembly. The mounting plate plays an important role in providing a sturdy connection point for the handle as well as even distribution of door pressure across the top refrigerator seal.

Causes of a bad mounting plate can be stripped screws or bolts from repeated opening and closing of the door over time, cracks or fractures from excessive pressure on the handle, or broken brackets.

Symptoms of a bad mounting plate include:

• Loose, wobbly, or dangling door handles
• Difficulty in fully closing or sealing the refrigerator door
• Signs of stress or bowing along the top door gasket and seal

This OEM Samsung part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
