This is an ORIGINAL VINTAGE 5-STONE RING that was HANDMADE from PLATINUM during the 1950s. This CLASSIC, MID-CENTURY RING represents varying stages in a relationship and makes a perfect gift for any stage:
1) The 5 stages of a relationship: friendship, courtship, dating, marriage, children.
2) A Fifth Anniversary
3) Birth of a Fifth Child
The ring is set with 5 OLD TRANSITIONAL CUT DIAMONDS of G-H color (1 is J color), VS1 to SI1 clarity that weigh approx. 1.170 carats in total. The center stone is the largest weighing approx. .40 ct. The diamonds on the sides of the center stone weigh approx. .30 ct. and .35 ct. each. These diamonds are VERY CLEAR, BRIGHT & SPARKLY!
The old transitional cut is the antique cut that is closest to the modern brilliant cut in regards to proportions and light return. It is also known as the Early Modern or Early American Cut.
The head of the ring measures just over 7/8" across and it sits 4.6 mm high off the finger. The ring size is approx. 5.75 to 6. I can not measure it exactly because the ring has been resized down and the shank is off round. The total weight is a solid feeling 3.9 grams. More 5 stone rings available.
